Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett, known for her far-left views, may face scrutiny from the Federal Election Commission due to an investigation into her campaign finances. This inquiry was initiated following a complaint from The Coolidge-Reagan Foundation, a conservative watchdog organization, regarding funds raised through the contentious Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue, as reported by The Daily Signal.

FEC assistant general counsel for complaints examination and legal administration, Wanda D. Brown, informed the group that ‘the respondents will be notified of this complaint within five business days.

She added, ‘You will be informed as soon as the Federal Election Commission (FEC) takes final action on your client’s complaint. If you receive any further information regarding this matter, please direct it to the Office of the General Counsel.

The Federal Election Commission has initiated an inquiry. There is a procedural framework in place, but they are currently conducting an investigation,” stated Dan Backer, a Washington attorney representing the Coolidge-Reagan Foundation, in an interview with the media.

This inquiry pertains to 53 individual contributions totaling $595 to Crockett’s campaign via ActBlue, allegedly made by a 73-year-old resident of Texas named Randy Best, according to the complaint filed with the FEC.

However, in a video released by one of Crockett’s challengers, Sholdon Daniels, Best’s spouse indicated that she was unaware of the contributions, raising concerns about the possibility of fraudulent activity.

According to the complaint, “Rep. Crockett, via her main campaign committee Respondent Jasmine for US, has garnered thousands of additional donations through ActBlue, amounting to over $870,000.”

It remains uncertain how many of these contributions may be fraudulent transactions, purportedly made in the names of unsuspecting individuals who did not actually provide the funds. ActBlue has previously faced scrutiny over allegations of facilitating the laundering of foreign campaign contributions.

The Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue may have accumulated millions through questionable donations, as indicated by testimonies from elderly Americans who claim that federal election records do not accurately reflect their contributions,” reported The Signal in January.

“A review of Federal Election Commission filings by Dominic Rapini, CEO of a cybersecurity firm and a former Republican candidate in Connecticut, revealed that eighteen registered Democrats in Connecticut, all aged over 70, seem to have contributed $1.9 million to Democratic initiatives, including ActBlue, through hundreds of thousands of small donations from 2016 to 2024.”

Upon reviewing the donation trends associated with these purported ‘smurfs,’ the discrepancies are glaringly evident, showcasing actions that contradict both rational thought and common understanding,” stated Rapini in an interview with The Daily Signal. “In order to preserve confidence in our electoral system, it is imperative that we address these irregularities directly.” Wisconsin Republican Rep.

Bryan Steil, who chairs the House Administration Committee, acknowledged that he is informed of comparable reports across the country.

In response to inquiries, I disclosed the results of our investigation to several state attorneys general last fall,” he informed The Signal. “The committee and I are fully prepared to work with any state law enforcement officials interested in accessing the information we have compiled regarding this significant matter.”

An elderly woman reportedly stated, ‘I assure you that I have NOT contributed to the [Democratic National Committee] or any local Democratic party since 2016… Any contributions beyond that are either fraudulent or altered.’

Another woman, aged 91, is recorded as having made 2,591 donations totaling $41,000, as per FEC records. However, this woman has signed an affidavit with Rapini, in which she refutes having made any donations.

Additionally, a message on the Act Blue website guarantees donors that the platform is secure and adheres to ‘ethical standards.’

ActBlue takes pride in being a reliable platform that enables small-dollar donors to make legal and secure contributions to political candidates, political action committees, and various political and nonpartisan nonprofit organizations.

Our comprehensive security program and stringent fraud prevention protocols are designed to meticulously safeguard donors’ information, eliminate potentially illegal foreign contributions, shield donors from financial fraud, and identify other possible unlawful or fraudulent activities. Consequently, donors, candidates, and organizations can trust that their information is protected and our platform remains secure, as stated in the post.

Killed 13 people in Russia after military plane hits building

A Russian military jet has crashed into a residential building shortly after taking off near the border with  Ukraine , sparking a major fire that has reportedly left at least 13 people dead, according to Russian news agency Interfax, citing a senior official. Video and photographs uploaded to social media on Monday showed a residential building engulfed in flames in Yeysk, a port and resort town in  Russia located just south of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol across the Sea of Azov. The Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed into the building shortly after take-off at the nearby Yuzhny airbase, the Russian defence ministry said in a statement. The cause of the crash was an engine fire that prevented the jet, which can be used on bombing runs or to engage other aircraft, from gaining altitude. The plane, which the ministry said was on a training flight, was carrying a payload that detonated after impact, preventing firefighters from reaching the fire for some time. Video showed at...
