Since his re-election in November 2024, Donald Trump has continued to be a focal point of controversy, with numerous policies that divide public opinion. His administration’s implementation of extensive tariffs on almost all nations and a firm approach to immigration has elicited both strong support and intense criticism.

When not engaged in drafting executive orders or energizing his supporters at various events, Trump is frequently seen on the golf course, enjoying one of his preferred hobbies: golfing. At the age of 78, he is often characterized by golf experts as a ‘consistent single-digit player’ known for his surprisingly long drives and a reputation for playing at an exceptionally fast pace.

However, his passion for the sport unexpectedly rendered him the subject of a famous practical joke.

In 2016, while Trump was reintroducing his recently acquired Trump Turnberry golf resort in Scotland, he became the target of a prank orchestrated by the infamous British comedian Simon Brodkin, who is also recognized by his persona, Lee Nelson.

As Trump commenced his speech, Brodkin nonchalantly approached the stage and started throwing golf balls adorned with swastikas into the air. With an over-the-top apology, he exclaimed, ‘Donald, here are the balls you requested!’ before displaying them and adding, ‘I apologize.’

The performance startled the audience and was promptly halted by the Scottish police, who swiftly identified Brodkin. Trump, evidently displeased, allegedly sought to file charges.

Brodkin subsequently informed The Scottish Sun that, despite his criminal history for comparable behavior, the Scottish officers displayed an impressive sense of humor regarding the situation. He remarked, ‘They were outstanding. Who would prefer to be waterboarded by the CIA when one can enjoy an Irn Bru in the rear of a police van?’

Brodkin, recognized for his audacious and occasionally shocking antics, has a well-documented history of pranking prominent individuals. Some of his most notorious acts include participating in the warm-up of Manchester City’s players (which led to his arrest), interrupting Kanye West’s performance at Glastonbury in 2015, and tossing $600 in cash at former FIFA President Sepp Blatter, asserting it was related to North Korea’s World Cup proposal.

He has been open regarding his selection of targets. In an interview with Sky News in 2019, Brodkin stated, “There are numerous targets that could be entertaining to pursue, but they might result in a death sentence—such as Kim Jong Un.”

He further remarked, “If one were to choose someone like the Queen, it would undoubtedly result in a national disaster. It is essential to select individuals who occupy that ideal position—where the majority of people acknowledge your efforts with a supportive gesture and say, ‘That was amusing.'”

Killed 13 people in Russia after military plane hits building

A Russian military jet has crashed into a residential building shortly after taking off near the border with  Ukraine , sparking a major fire that has reportedly left at least 13 people dead, according to Russian news agency Interfax, citing a senior official. Video and photographs uploaded to social media on Monday showed a residential building engulfed in flames in Yeysk, a port and resort town in  Russia located just south of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol across the Sea of Azov. The Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed into the building shortly after take-off at the nearby Yuzhny airbase, the Russian defence ministry said in a statement. The cause of the crash was an engine fire that prevented the jet, which can be used on bombing runs or to engage other aircraft, from gaining altitude. The plane, which the ministry said was on a training flight, was carrying a payload that detonated after impact, preventing firefighters from reaching the fire for some time. Video showed at...

Friends and family of Nicole L. Gee say the 23-year-old Marine killed at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, last week died doing what she loved – helping people.
