Donald Trump introduced the $175 billion Golden Dome missile defense system, delivering a serious warning to global powers regarding U.S. security.

President Trump presented the expensive “Golden Dome” missile defense system designed to shield the U.S. from international missile threats.

At a press conference on May 20, Trump disclosed plans to deploy advanced weaponry in space for the first time.

The system is intended to intercept missiles at any stage of their trajectory.

This announcement signifies a significant change, positioning space as a vital element of the U.S. national security defense strategy.

The ‘Golden Dome’ initiative aims for unparalleled global protection.

According to Trump, the Golden Dome will provide unmatched defense by detecting and neutralizing missile attacks from anywhere in the world.

The president emphasized the immediate threat posed by missiles, labeling them as the nation’s most severe danger.

Trump asserted that the system will be operational during his presidency, with a goal to complete it in less than four years.

A substantial budget has been established, with an initial down payment of $25 billion.

The project comes with a significant financial burden, as Trump revealed an anticipated total cost of $175 billion.

An initial “down payment” of $25 billion has already been set aside to initiate development.

Independent assessments caution that the costs may be much higher. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that space components alone could surpass $500 billion over the next twenty years. Trump remains optimistic despite the expenses, asserting that the investment guarantees protection against foreign missile attacks.

He highlighted that the Golden Dome would extend America’s defense beyond the confines of Earth’s atmosphere.

For the first time, the U.S. will position weapons in outer space for this purpose.

He told reporters: “We will have the best system ever constructed.

“As you are aware, we assisted Israel with their system, which has been very successful, and now we possess technology that is even more advanced than that.”

Trump characterized the initiative as a continuation of Ronald Reagan’s vision, presenting the Golden Dome as the final measure to eradicate future missile threats.

Trump cautions the global community with the announcement of a $175 billion ‘Golden Dome’ missile defense initiative.
During the announcement, a graphic displayed behind Trump illustrated a dome encompassing the U.S.

It featured the warning: “This is a Very Dangerous World. We’re going to protect our citizens like never before!”

This imagery underscored U.S. defense superiority and acted as a caution to other nations.

Trump’s statements indicated a willingness to robustly defend U.S. interests against any adversarial forces.
China reacts with significant criticism and apprehension.
Unsurprisingly, China expressed strong objections to the Golden Dome initiative.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning denounced the system, asserting it possessed “strong offensive implications” and could disrupt global security.

She accused the U.S. of placing its own absolute security above the safety of other nations.

She cautioned that this action could heighten tensions and trigger an arms race in outer space.

“The United States, in pursuing a ‘U.S.-first’ policy, is fixated on achieving absolute security for itself,” Ning stated.
“This contravenes the principle that the security of all nations should not be compromised and undermines global strategic equilibrium and stability. China is profoundly concerned about this.

Killed 13 people in Russia after military plane hits building

A Russian military jet has crashed into a residential building shortly after taking off near the border with  Ukraine , sparking a major fire that has reportedly left at least 13 people dead, according to Russian news agency Interfax, citing a senior official. Video and photographs uploaded to social media on Monday showed a residential building engulfed in flames in Yeysk, a port and resort town in  Russia located just south of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol across the Sea of Azov. The Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed into the building shortly after take-off at the nearby Yuzhny airbase, the Russian defence ministry said in a statement. The cause of the crash was an engine fire that prevented the jet, which can be used on bombing runs or to engage other aircraft, from gaining altitude. The plane, which the ministry said was on a training flight, was carrying a payload that detonated after impact, preventing firefighters from reaching the fire for some time. Video showed at...
